STORIES OF IMPACT

Read the stories of children and families whose lives have been touched through the gift of reading.

The Fontenot Family

We are the Fontenot family and we have two daughters named Phoenix and Denver. Phoenix is our oldest and she has a diagnosis of EDWARD syndrome. Her life started off rocky, but God saw it to see her approach. Her sixth birthday. She recently lost her first tooth and is in kindergarten this year, she loves to listen to music wiggle around on the floor and play with her little sister Denver. Denver is our little firecracker and she keeps our house very lively. She loves to sing watch her cartoons, each strawberries, watermelon and peaches. She loves to put on her shoes and can count to 10 prior to turning two. Both of our girls have birthdays around the holidays so it makes it hard to plan birthday parties, but we do our best. Parenthood has shown us some hard times, but we make the best of it and we stay thankful for our two girls. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
